Biography:

Muhammad Hamza Anwer, currently the youngest national swimming champion of Pakistan in 100 meter Breaststroke and 400 meter Individual medley events at the age of 18.

Hamza started swimming at the age of 8 after getting inspire by his elder brother, Aniq Anwer, who was a former Pakistan National Swimming Champion with the world rank of 44 (highest rank ever achieved by a Pakistani swimmer in the history of Pakistan swimming).

Hamza launched his career in competitive swimming at the age of 10 by competing in Sindh Open Swimming Championship 2010 where he became the best swimmer in his age-group category. From then on, he started winning laurels of medals and trophies in this sport.

Hamza became the National Junior Swimming Champion of Pakistan in 2014 at the age of 14 and retained his title for two consecutive years till 2016.

Then after one year of intense hard work and dedication, he participated in the National Senior Swimming Championship of Pakistan in 2018 for the first time, Where by the grace of almighty Allah, he was able to become the Youngest National Swimming Champion of Pakistan with 4 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals by also helping his team WAPDA grab the overall winning trophy for the first time in the history of Pakistan swimming since 1960.

By the overwhelming success in swimming, Hamza and his father  have always been passionate in the sport of badminton. He knew how to play badminton as in the off days of his swimming training, he used to play badminton in different clubs of Karachi.

He started playing badminton competitions from his college and won every single event of badminton in Sindh. Now he plays badminton for his university and he is the currently Inter-University Badminton Champion of Sindh.
