- Khalil Akhtar is the first Pakistani to qualify for the 2020 Olympics and he made a bid to win a gold medal for the country. The Rajanpur born athlete gained entry on a quota basis and will be representing Pakistan in the rapid-fire pistol event.

Also known as ‘Shooter Akhtar' jumped to 15th position according to the world rankings by ISSF for September 2019.
