Japan beats Pakistan in 4 Nation International Festival

In the contest of two Asian hockey teams, Japan came out a better side as they defeated Pakistan in the second league match of 4 Nation International Festival match played at Melbourne's State Netball Hockey Centre, Australia.

Winning score of Japan remains 3-1 against the Bronze medal holders in 10th Asia Cup hockey tournament, Pakistan. Japan played a draw match against New Zealand yesterday while Pakistan was thrashed by hosts Australia by 9-1.

In the 14th minute of 1st quarter Kenta TANAKA of Japan scored first goal for Japan. No team managed to score any goal in the 2nd and 3rd quarter of the game but in the 46th minute of fourth quarter Kenta TANAKA scored another goal for his team. Four minutes later, Genki MITANI scored the third goal for Japan and takes the undeniable lead of 3-0. In the dying minutes (6oth minute) of 4th quarter Muhammad Atiq of Pakistan scored the only goal for Pakistan.

Final score of Japan remains 3-1. It is also to be mention that last time both the teams faced each other in 10th Asia Cup and the match was held draw by 2-2.

Pakistan will now face New Zelanad in the last league match of 4 Nation International Festival on Saturday 11th November at 9:30 AM (PST).
Final and Bronze medal match will be played on Sunday 12th November 2017.
