Defense Raya Golf championship kicks off today
Asian Development Tour, the second highest international golf tournament of Asia kicks off today at Defense Raya Golf and Country Club Lahore. Closing ceremony of the championship will held on Sunday, 5th November 2017.
Beside the top ranking professional golf players from all over the country 50 top ranking golfers across the world USA, Japan, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, England, Sweden, Venezuela, and South Africa will also participate in the championship.
The aim of initiating such tournament is to promote soft image and also showcasing real Pakistan which is peace loving, vibrant and a progressive country. Participation of international golfers will also improve the skills of national players.
Manager tour and player affairs of Asian Development Tour Uhno Park while talking on the occasion has said that this is the first time Asian Development Tour is organizing a championship in Pakistan because Pakistan is a great and peace-loving country. He further added that the Defense Raya was a golf course of international standard. As a golfing arena, it can be rated as the leading one in Asia and capable of holding international events.
Final of the event will be held on Sunday 5th November 2017.
