Mirpur’s Muslim Hands wins Future Depends on You Football Tournament
8 member team of street children from Mirpur (AJK, Pakistan) “Muslim Hands” won the Future Depends On You Football Tournament held in Moscow, Russia from 26-27 October 2017.
In the league matches of tournament Pakistani team “Muslim Hands” defeated Brazil by 2-1, Kazakhstan by 4-2 and draws the match against Georgia 0-0 and tops the group with 7 points.
Pakistan crushed India by and big margin of 15-0 in the quarter final of the tournament. Muslim Hands got victory against Belarus by 8-0 in the Semifinal.
Final of the tournament was played between hosts Russian team Smolensk and Pakistani team Muslim Hands. Match was goalless during the 1st and 2nd half of the match and later was decided on the penalty kicks. Muslim Hands defeated Smolensk by 3-2 on the penalty kicks and won the Future Depends on You Football Tournament.

The tournament was organized by a charitable organization "Children Football" in collaboration with Russian ministries of Foreign Affairs, Sports and Education and Russian football Union. The President of Russian Football Union was Chief Guest of the tournament.
The tournament was held in the great arena of stadium “locomotive” on 26-27 October. The players participated in the real world championship on football were those children who were left without parental care.
Teams from 11 different countries participated in the tournament. Teams from Brazil, India, Egypt, Pakistan and Russian Republic of Mauritius were the main focused. The tournament was also attended by Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Georgia. Russia was represented by two teams: from Orsk and Smolensk.
Tournament “the Future depends on you” was sponsored by MegaFon, with the support of the Russian football Union, Ministry of Sport, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of foreign Affairs. The tournament has been taking place for last twelve years and it has become the symbol of friendship of people.
During the time, competition was attended by more than 3,500 teams and 35,000 students of orphanages and boarding schools of the 140 cities of Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and China.
