Pakistan to participate in 2nd International Festival Hockey

The second International festival hockey tournament will be played at Melbourne and Bendigo, Australia. 4 nation men and 6 nation women event will start from 5th November to 12th November 2017.

Pakistan, Japan, New Zealand and hosts Australia will take part in men hockey event. The event will be played on round robin bases. Pakistan and Japan are participating for the 1st time in this tournament. Last year India and Malaysia participated in the tournament.

Australia is the defending champions while New Zealand were the runner-ups in 2016. India defeated Malaysia to secure the 3rd position and Malaysia remained on the 4th position of 2016's International Festival Hockey tournament.

Pakistan will play its first match against the hosts and defending champions Australia on Wednesday 8th November 2017.

Top two teams will qualify for the final of the tournament for gold medal. Final of the tournament will be played on Sunday 12th November.
