Qila Lachman Singh wins A.H. Kardar Cricket Championship

Qila Lachman Singh team after defeating Al-Fatima School, won the A.H.Kardar Under-16 cricket championship played at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Qila Lachman Singh (Lahore Region) team defeated Al-Fatima School (Karachi Region) in the final match of A.H. Kardar cricket championship by 99 runs. Al-Fatima School won the toss and invited Qila Lachman Singh team to bat 1st. Qila team while bating first scored 247 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in allotted 35 overs. Qasim Akram scored a blistering knock and scored 98 runs on just 65 balls with the help of 13 boundaries and a six.

Fahad Munir contributed 80 runs. Fahad Ali of Al-Fatima School got 3 wickets for 54 runs.

While chasing the target of 248 runs Al-Fatima school team was bowled out on just 148 runs in 28.3 overs. Muhammad Umair scored 30 while Daniyal Ali 23 runs and remained the top scorers for Al-Fatima School.

Peshawar’s batsman Rasheed Khan was declared the best batsman of the tournament who scored 326 runs in the championship. Abu Bakar Akram of Multan was declared the best bowler of the tournament while Asad Ali of Islamabad was declared best player of the tournament.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi and Ex-Chairman PCB General (r) Touqeer Zia were the chief guests of the closing ceremony.

Winning team Qila Lachman Singh received the trophy and 150,000 rupees while the runner up team Al-Fatima School received 75,000 rupees and runner up trophy. Best bowler, best batsman and best player of the tournament received 25,000 each.
