Jinnah Stadium to Host the Knockout Stage of National Cup
PFF National Committee was forced to look for an alternative venue due to the unavailability of the Punjab Stadium.
The Pakistan Football Federation Normalisation Committee has successfully arranged for the knockout stages of the National Challenge Cup to take place at Islamabad’s Jinnah Stadium next month, after facing venue unavailability issues at the Punjab Stadium.
The 30th edition of the Challenge Cup kicked off in January last year and only the group stages of an expanded 32-team tournament were played with the PFF NC announcing that the latter stages would be held afterwards. It finally announced earlier this month that it will hold the knockout stages from May 1 to 12.
