The young forward was advised to rest and undergo rehabilitation for a period of eight to ten weeks before making his return to the field.
Pakistan National Team striker Fareedullah underwent successful surgery on Thursday to treat his Clavicle Fracture (Broken Collarbone) injury sustained during the FIFA World Cup Qualifier Round 2 match against Jordan on March 26.
Fareedullah suffered the injury during the 33rd minute of the match and had to be carried off the pitch on a stretcher due to excruciating pain in his left shoulder.
Upon his return to Pakistan, he received immediate medical attention and underwent surgery following the recommendation of PFF’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Azam Khan.
The surgery, performed by Consultant Orthopedic and Sports Surgeon Dr. Amir Sohail in Lahore, was successful.
The Muslim Chaman FC’s young forward will now undergo a period of eight to ten weeks of rest and rehabilitation before his return to the field. His comeback will depend on the successful completion of the rehabilitation process and medical clearance.
Fareedullah, aged 22, made his international debut against Cambodia in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Round 1 and has represented Pakistan's men’s national football team in six matches so far.
