Jordan Crushes Pakistan 7-0 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier Away Fixture
In the 2nd half, Pakistan never looked comfortable as Jordan exploited the defence.
In a staggering display of dominance, Jordan routed Pakistan 7-0 in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Round 2 Qualifier away fixture at the Amman International Stadium. The match, part of the fourth round of Group Seven competitions in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, witnessed a remarkable performance by Jordan's Musa Al-Taamari, who secured a hat-trick with goals in the first, fourth, and sixth minutes.
Adding to the tally, Yazan Al-Naimat converted a penalty kick in the 28th minute, while Saad Al-Rousan scored the third goal for Jordan in the 52nd minute. Ali Alwan and Muhammad Abu Zureiq further extended the lead with goals in the 75th and 83rd minutes, respectively.

This emphatic victory propelled Jordan to second place in Group Seven with a total of seven points. The win comes on the heels of Jordan's previous triumph over Pakistan, where they secured a 3-0 victory at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad, marking Jordan's first visit to Pakistan for a football match in 18 years.
Danish defenders Mohammad Fazal and Abdullah Iqbal were absent from the game, with Fazal sidelined due to a hamstring injury. Abdullah Iqbal, on the other hand, was suspended for the crucial fixture following accumulated yellow cards from recent matches, as announced by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).
Pakistan's journey in the qualifiers has been a mix of victories and defeats, with a historic 1-0 win against Cambodia last October marking their first-ever FIFA World Cup qualifier win followed by a 4-0 loss to Saudi Arabia, later lost to Tajiskitan by 1-6 in the subsequent round.
Two top teams from the group will advance to the third round of FIFA qualifiers while the remaining two sides will compete in Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers.
