Punjab Minister for Sports, Faisal Ayub Khokhar, announced an increase in the Sports Endowment Fund from Rs 2 billion to 4 billion, aimed at enhancing the welfare of players in the province. Addressing a press conference at the National Hockey Stadium, Khokhar highlighted the initiatives taken by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz to bolster sports development.

Accompanied by Secretary Sports Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial, DG Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal, and Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed, Khokhar emphasized the importance of maintaining and repairing sports infrastructure. He announced the establishment of Punjab's first Maintenance and Repair Department dedicated to safeguarding valuable sports facilities.
