Arshad Nadeem Promised Support to Help Him Win Olympic Gold in Paris
Pakistan won the last Olympic medal in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and hopes are high that Arshad Nadeem's prowess will break the drought.
Arshad Nadeem, a prominent figure in track and field athletics, has long sought support from the government, and finally, he has received assurances from Punjab's Sports Minister, Faisal Ayub Khokhar.
The Punjab Sports Minister pledged unwavering support and ample resources to Arshad Nadeem, aiming to assist him in securing Pakistan’s first track and field medal since 1988 at the upcoming Paris Olympics in 2024.
Khokar also affirmed that the construction of the Arshad Nadeem Stadium Project in Mian Channu will soon commence, enhancing the sporting infrastructure of the country.
Despite carrying an injury that led to surgery last year, the javelin thrower achieved 5th place in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and clinched the Gold Medal in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, setting a record throwing distance of 90.18 meters on his fifth attempt.
Expressing gratitude for the support received, Arshad Nadeem vowed to bring home the gold medal for Pakistan.
