Irfan Mashi won the Shaheed Mazhar Ali Mubarak National bodybuilding Championship
Islamabad’s Irfan Mashi won the Shaheed Mazhar Ali Mubarak National Bodybuilding Championship on the 70th independence anniversary celebration 2017. Sulman Khan of Punjab becomes Junior Mr. Pakistan’s which was held at Aamir Khan Boxing Academy Islamabad.
It is to be mention here that shaheed Mazhar Ali Mubarak was martyr in terrorist attack in 2013 at Rawalpindi. Shaheed Mazhar Ali Mubarak bodybuilding championship is a regular sports event of the country.
Senior title won by Irfan Mashi of Islamabad while Arsalan took 2nd Haroon 3rd ,Qasim Hussein 4th and Noman Khan got 5th position. In juniors category Waqas Mir won the title while Sulman Khan 2nd and Naqash Nawaz secured 3rd position. Raza Gilani handed over the key of a sports motorcycle to the winner of champion’s trophy, while Arslan received a Samsung LED for getting second position by Sponsor Jameel Qazi of Super Deal Property, Haroon bronze medalist received a mobile phone with trophy.
Raja Khalid chairman Kyokishn Pakistan federation, Ahmed Sadiq world champion chief organizer Asian amateur Bodybuilders Association, Shahid ul Haq international fitness trainer and chief promoter of professional sports in Pakistan International boxer Aamir Khan's head coach Mohammad Daud, Shahid ul Haq, Mohammad Ejaz, Major Nadeem Sadal, Col. Waseem, Raja Khalid, Anyat Ullah, Liaqat Ali, Chaudhry Ashraf, Raj Khan, Raza Jailani, Jameel Tahir, Shahid Hussain, Azmat Ali Mubarak ,Ehsan Ali, Asghar Ali Mubarak, Shakeel Awan were the guest of honors on the occasion.
While addressing the audience the speakers stated that world must appreciate Pakistan’s sacrifice in terror war. Pakistan was rendering sacrifices to weed out terrorism and the nation stands united against the curse. They further added that sports can play a vital role to bring the peace in Pakistan. They said that with honesty, sincerity, devotion we can achieve our goal.
Chief organizer Asghar Ali Mubarak appreciated the youth for supporting Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism.
The speakers highly appreciated talent in bodybuilding and organize such a grand event. They said the way bodybuilders turned up in huge numbers and the spectators thronged the venue is a clear indication that youth want to be involved in healthy sporting activities and need a platform to showcase their sills.
Speakers also appreciated all the players, coaches and gym owners for doing a wonderful job. They also lauded the effort to give lectures by Shahid ul HAQ and Ahmed Sadiq to bodybuilders about the side effects of steroids and discouraging the use of banned substance in bodybuilding. A total of 62 bodybuilders from all parts of the country took part in the championship.
