Jalpana, Qatalpur and Guard Groups stars in Polo in Pink
Jalpana, Qatalpur and Guard Groups won their matches on the second day of Polo in Pink 2017 played at Lahore Polo Club (LPC).
Three matches were decided in the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital-sponsored Polo in Pink 2017 here at the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground.
The first match of the day was played between Jalpana and Newage and Jalpana turned as victorious with the margin of 8-5½. Samir Malik remained the hero for Jalpana with his fabulous five goals while his teammate Umar Asjad Malhi banged in the remaining three goals.
From the losing side, which had one and half goal handicap advantage, Agha Musa converted three and Ibrahim Barry one.
The second match started with Qatalpur having two goals handicap advantage and they struck six more goals to outclass Black Horse Paints by 8-5. Syed Hasan Abbas was star of the day for Qatalpur as he hammered fantastic five goals and his teammate Qadeer Ashfaq added one. From Black Horse Paints, three goals were converted by Ghulam Mustafa Monnoo and two by Mir Huzaifa Ahmed.
The third and last of match of the day saw Guard Groups carving out an impressive 8-6 victory over Diamond Paints. Mian Iftikhar Hussain made the day for Guard Groups by slamming superb five goals while Taimur Ali Malik then hammered a hat-trick to guide his team to a tremendous triumph.
From Diamond Paints, which had two goals handicap advantage, Chaudhry Hassan scored a brace while Abdullah Dawood and Mustafa Aziz contributed one goal apiece.
Today (Thursday), the first match will be played among Total Nutrition, Barry’s and Sakuf under American System at 2:00 pm while the second encounter will be contested between Sherwood and MMS at 3:30 pm.
