Polo in Pink: Sherwood, MMS takes winning start
Sheerwood and MMS have won their matches in the opening day of Polo in Pink cup played at Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground. Three matches will be played today.

The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital-endorsed Polo in Pink commenced at Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground. 11 teams are participating in the event and divided in to two pools. 5 teams are in Pool A and 6 in Pool B.

In the first match of the day Sherwood defeated Total Nutrition in a thrilling polo match by 4-3. Mian Shahzad Aziz scored a brace for Sherwood while Adnan Jalil Azam and Farasat Ali Chatha contributed one goal apiece.
The second match of the day was played between the 3 teams. MMS, Barry’s and Sakuf under the American system. The match was based on 2 chukkers and MMS defeated barry’s and Sakuf and qualified for the next round. MMS defeated Sakuf in the first contest by 3-1. Haris Haroon scored a brace and Faisal khan scores 1 goal.
Barry’s in their first match defeated Sakuf 3-2 but later in their second match, lost to MMS by a good margin of 2-4
Today (Wednesday), three matches will be contested as the first match will be played between Newage and Jalpana at 1:30 pm, the second between Qatalpur and Black Horse Paint at 2:30 pm and third between Guard Group and Diamond Paints at 3:30 pm.
