Amar Cables reaches the Semifinal of Aftab Qarshi Veterans Cricket Championship

While batting 1st Amar Cables managed to score 217 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Saleem Ellahi remained the top scorer for Amar Cables with 74 runs. Jamshed Ali scored 61 and Sohaib scored 25 runs. 6 players of Amar Cables were unable to score in double figures and 19 extra runs were also included in the total score of 217 runs.

Kamran Hussain was the pick of the bowlers. He got 4 wickets for 32 runs in 6 overs. Nadeem Baig got 2, Mian Yasir and Adnan khan got 1 wicket each.

Turk Plast were not up-to the mark during the run chase as they lost 1st wicket without scoring any run. Rizwan remained the highest runs scorer for Turk Plast with 36 runs followed by Bilal Khilji 35, Imran Bashir 19 and Adnan Khan 16.

Iftikhar Ahmed got a 5ver for his team Amar Cables. He gave only 27 runs in the quota of his 6 overs. Rehan Rauf & Akbar Ali got 2 wickets each and Javed Khan got 1. Turk Plast were bowled out on 168 runs in 27.5 overs and Amar Cables won the match by 49 runs.

Iftikhar Ahmed declared as Man of the Match for his 5 wickets. Chief Guest Muhammad Salman Khan awarded Iftikhar for his match winning performance. Amar Cables got 2 points for winning the game.

Today Aftab Qarshi will play its last group match against Golden Eagles at Cricket Centre Ground Model Town, Lahore.

Golden Eagles are at the top of group A with 4 points followed by Aftab Qarshi with 2 points. Whereas, Amar Cables got 6 points and tops group B followed by Turk Plast with 4 points.

Both the semifinals will be played on Monday 30th October at Cricket Centre Ground Model Town, Lahore.
