Promising youngster Mohammad Ashab Irfan outplayed top seed Noor Zaman in a five-game quarter-final of PSA satellite events.
The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) is organising a series of PSA satellite events of $1,000, which is being played at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad.
In the quarterfinal, promising youngster Mohammad Ashab Irfan outplayed top seed Noor Zaman in a five-game quarter-final.
In other quarter-finals, Salman Saleem overpowered Asadullah Khan 11-5, 11-3, 7-11, 11-8 in 30 minutes, Hamza Sharif beat Haris Qasim 12-10, 11-5, 11-8 in just 24 minutes and Farhan Hashmi took 30 minutes to overwhelm Waqar Mehbood 6-11, 12-10, 11-4, 11-3.
Ashab, the world No.721, defeated Noor (No.206) 7-11, 11-9, 11-5, 6-11, 11-5 in their last-eight match that lasted 51 minutes.
