Saturday Welfare Group Tennis Coaching Camp for Wheelchair and Special athletes begins
The inaugural Saturday Welfare Group Tennis Coaching Camp for Wheelchair and Special Olympic Pakistan athletes commenced at Union Club, Karachi.
Sindh Tennis Association are organzing this four month long coaching camp, which is being sponsored by a well know social support NGO, Saturday Welfare Group.

A total of 13 wheelchair players have been selected by Para Sports Pakistan while 11 intellectually challenged special athletes are nominated for training twice-a-week for two-hour sessions.
Pakistan’s tennis ace, Aqeel Khan grace the opening ceremony as chief and appreciated the sponsor Saturday Welfare Group and STA/ KTA for this far reaching initiative.
The sponsor & Camp Director, highlighted the activities of SWG which includes clean drinking water in remote area of Baluchistan and Sindh and also food/Clean Water support at various locations including Jails of both provinces.
The camp Commandant, Muhammad Khalid Rehmani thanked SWT for this noble cause of inclusion of these less privileged athletes into main stream sports fraternity of country.
Khalid Rehmani also thanked Special Olympics Pakistan, Para Sports Pakistan and President Union Club Mr. Shamim Firpo for their support.
The Camp shall be held on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays during morning hours. All participants are getting conveyance allowance and Lunch boxes.
Aqeel Shabbir is appointed as head Coach, Ishrat Zehra. Coach and Sarwar Hussain as Camp coordinator.
The event had the presence of Farkhanda Jabeen, Sports Manager, Special Olympic Pakistan & Ishrat zehra, Vice president Para Sports Pakistan, Syed Sakawat Ali, Ghulam Yaseen, Qazi Wajahat, Raisa Ashfaq, Perween Akhter, Afshan Fatima, Sarwar Hussain, and SWG officials.
