Gymkhana Challengers shocks Royal Palm Friends in Golf
32 member team of Gymkhana Challengers have won the 1st Challenge Cup, Golf Team Tournament against the hosts Royal Palm Friends due to their adept performance, played at Royal Palm Golf and Country Club Golf Course Lahore.
The tournament was first of its kind. Royal Palm Friends had advantage of playing on their home course and were considered likely winners but Gymkhana Challengers showed good game and thrashed the hosts easily.
The Gymkhana players were too confident of their win as they played all the 18 holes dominantly.
Out of 32 matches in individual competition, Gymkhana Challengers players won 16 contests and Royal Palm Friends won 14 matches whereas, two matched ended in a draw. The total score for Gymkhana Challengers was 34 points and Royal Palm Friends scored 30 points.

Irfan Raja, former Ambassador and Adviser of Royal Palm CEO, handed over the winning trophy to Omer Zia, captain of the Gymkhana Challengers at the end of tournament. Hussain Hamid, captain of the Royal Palm, and the sponsors, Hammad Baig, Ali Naeem, Amir Kabir, BJ Sheikh and Zafar Iqbal were also present.
