The Oman's capital city Muscat will host the first ever FIH Hockey5s World Cups (men and women) in January 2024.
Oman's capital city Muscat will host the first ever FIH Hockey5s World Cups (men and women) in January 2024. Oman had won the bid to host the event by getting 13 votes out of a total of 16 and beating 6 other bids for the event.
The FIH Executive Committee has given a go-ahead to allot the hosting rights to Oman instead of three other bidders -- India, Pakistan, and Singapore.
32 teams will participate in the tournament which will be held in January 2024, including 16 for men and 16 for women.
Continental Hockey5s qualifiers for the World Cup will be organised in 2022.
