Young mountaineer, Asad Memon aims to climb Denali– the highest mountain peak in North America
Asad Ali Memon is up to summit his next peak, which will be Denali, Alaska – the highest mountain peak in North America.
Larkana-born young Pakistani mountaineer, Asad Ali Memon, who recently becomes the first Asian and Pakistani to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in less than 24 hours, is now up to summit his next peak which will be Denali, Alaska – the highest mountain peak in North America.
Denali is located 20,310 feet above sea level. It is the third most prominent and third most isolated peak on Earth, after Mount Everest and Aconcagua.
“I am onto my next summit,which will be Denali, the highest mountain peak in North America. It will be a group summit starting from June 5 and I aim to participate in it,” he said.
“See, I have been through tough patches throughout my career and they aren’t over yet. I am waiting for any financial support and I am confident that someone will come forward to help me achieve this feat,”Memon added in exclusive interview with ARY Sports.
“My aim is to summit peaks in all seven continents. Also, I want to aware of others about extreme sports and make them able to represent Pakistan at the highest level,” he said.
Before Kilimanjaro, Memon climbed Mount Elbrus in Russia (Europe’s highest peak) and Mount Aconcagua in Argentina (highest South American peak), claiming to be the youngest Pakistani to achieve the feat. He had also attempted to climb Mount Everest before.
