Pakistan Vs Srilanka 5 match ODI series to start from tomorrow
Sri Lanka enjoyed unforgettable 2-0 clean sweep over Pakistan in the recent 2 match test series and now going to challenge Pakistan in 5 match ODI series started from tomorrow October 13, 2017 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Although, the Lankans have won the test series and will be enjoying a little edge over Pakistan psychologically but on the other hand, Pakistan played some good and positive cricket in limited over games in the past.
Pakistan although didn’t play well in test series against Srilanka but their previous ODI record is relatively good as they won 4 of last 5 ODI’s including the big Champions Trophy Final against the rivals India. Whereas, Srilanka lost 5 the previous matches including the round match against Pakistan in Champions Trophy tournament.
Pakistan and Srilanka have played 148 matches against each other where Pakistan is winning the score-line with 85-58. One match resulted in tie while 4 matches did not produce result. Both the teams won 2 matches each at Dubai International cricket stadium.
The services of Mohammad Hafeez will also be available for Pakistan in ODI series who was not the part of test team. Azher Ali has been rested whereas Mohammad Aamir was ruled out of ODI series because of injury. Imum ul haq has been selected in squad for the first time for his good performance in domestic level as Azhar Ali’s replacement. Usman Shinwari was selected in place of injured Mohammad Aamir.
