Mohammad Bilal and Haroon Abid fail to crack spots for Tokyo Olympics 2021
Mohammad Bilal and Haroon Abid represented Pakistan in the World Olympic Games Qualifiers in Sofia, Bulgaria but could not manage to qualify for this summer’s Tokyo Olympics.
The final qualification event for the Tokyo Olympic Games, the World Olympic Games Qualifier, kicks off in Sofia, Bulgaria, and welcomed 474 athletes from 84 different nations.
Two Pakistani wrestlers, Mohammad Bilal and Haroon Abid represented Pakistan in the World Olympic Games Qualifiers in Sofia, Bulgaria but could not manage to qualify for this summer’s Tokyo Olympics when they fell at different stages in their competitions.
Promising wrestler from Gujranwala, Bilal, but a shiny start in his 57kg journey when he overpowered Anatolii Buruian of Moldova 9-6 in the qualification round. But he lost to Giorgi Edishera Shvili of Azerbaijan 6-2 in the round of 16.

Haroon vanished to Timofei Xenidis of Greece in the first round of the 97kg competition 11-0. The top two in each weight category will qualify for the Olympics.
