“At the camp, Arshad will be trained by his Kazakh coach Viktor Yevsyukov. He has already been getting online training from him Viktor, which has been very productive” retired Maj Gen Akram Sahi, the president of the Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) told APP.
Recently, the country’s premier javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem threw 86.38 meters in Imam Raza Athletics Championship, which is also a new national record. With this throw, Arshad Nadeem also improved his South Asian Games record.

According to Sahi, the AFP wanted to send Arshad to Kazakhstan earlier but due to coronavirus-enforced travel limitations, it could not become possible.
“Now, he has got the opportunity to train from Viktor at the camp. We are sure the training period at Turkey will go a long way in further polishing his skills,” he added.
The president of the Punjab Athletics Federation Salman Butt is accompanying Arshad in Turkey.
