Pakistan thrash India by 62 runs to win Triangular Blind Cricket series 2021

Pakistan Blind Cricket Team defeated India in the final of any event after 15 years. The last time Pakistan defeated India in the final of the 2nd World Cup of Cricket for the Blind in 2006.

Ajay Reddy Captain of the Indian Blind Cricket Team won the toss and elected to bowl first. Pakistan again lost Rashid cheaply in the first over the innings, he couldn’t open his account.

Thereafter, Nisar Ali and Zafar Iqbal piled up a partnership of 96 runs for the 2nd wicket. Zafar played a blinder inning of 48 runs off 28 balls. Nisar Ali played Captain’s knock of 69 runs off 50 balls with the help of 7 boundaries.

Pakistan made 174 runs in the allotted 15 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Ajay Reddy took 2 wickets for India.

In reply, the Indian strong batting lineup couldn’t find the answer of clinical bowling and fielding of Pakistan and was restricted to 112 runs in stipulated 15 overs. India lost 7 wickets in the process. Muhammad Shahzaib was the star bowler for Pakistan, he gave only 12 runs in his 3 overs spell while Sajid Nawaz took 2 wickets for 28 runs.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan beat Bangladesh in the last league match by 7 wickets. Bangladesh made 83 runs in 10 overs and Pakistan chased the target in the 8th over for the loss of 3 wickets.
