Six matches were decided on the opening day of the SSB Pakistan Day Girls Basketball tournament, which commenced at the Arambagh-Abdul Nasir court Karachi.
On the opening day of the SSB Pakistan Day Girls Basketball Tournament, six matches were decided at the Arambagh-Abdul Nasir court, Karachi.
Iqra University team battled withKMA College team in the opening match, beating the opponent in a thrilling match by 14-8.
Whereas the second match witnessed Neighbourhood Club team players who as a whole worked hard enough to earn this victory by defeating the opponent team Physical Club on a 12-7 score-line
Arambagh Club showed great basketball skills to overpower TT Club 15-9 while KMA College defeated TT Club 11-8 and Peterson Star Club beat Civil Club 9-6.
In the last match of the day, Neighbourhood Club outscored Peterson Star Club 11-4.
Director Shamsi Sports Academy, Sara Shamshi inaugurated the tournament in simple but impressive manner.
Speaking on the occasion, KBBA chief Ghulam Mohammad said:
“Under the leadership of CM Murad Ali Shah, the entire set of officials in Sindh including advisor Bangal Khan Mahar, Sardar Baksh Mahar and Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs department deserve high praise for their support for sports and sportspersons in the province.”
The event had the presence of Pakistan Boxing Federation’s Asghar Baloch, SOA’s Ahmed Rajput, Khalid Shamsi and Michael Turner.
