National Men and Women Karate Championships 2021 from 1st April
The 2021 editions of National Men Karate Championships and National Women Karate Championship, which will make their's 28th and 14th editions will be held in Lahore from 1st-4th April.
Under auspices of Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF), the 2021 editions of National Men Karate Championship and National Women Karate Championship, which will make their's 28th and 14th editions will be held in Lahore while the venue is yet to be decided.
These championships will roll into action from 1st April and will continue for the next three days.
Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF) is up for yet another prestigious Karate event, which is named as ‘14th National Women Karate Championship 2021’.
Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF) has announced that championship will roll into action from 1st-4th April in Lahore.
PKF is an authentic body affiliated with World Karate Federation (WKF), Asian Karate-do Federation and Pakistan Olympic Association.
The championship will witness female fighters from all over Pakistan who will be seen competing against each other in the upcoming fights for the ultimate title gain of the championship.
The fighters will have fights in four different categories including Individual Kumite, Team Kumite, Individual Kata and Team Kata. However, Individual Kumite category is divided into different weight categories in which fights will be contested.
Following are the weight classes for both men and women competitions:
Weight categories for men team:
1. Individual Kumite
a) below 50 KG
b) below 55 KG
c) below 60 KG
d) below 67 KG
e) below 75 KG
f) below 84 KG
g) above 84 KG
2. Team Kumite
3. Individual Kata
4. Team Kata
Weight categories for women team:
1. Individual Kumite
a) below 45 KG
b) below 50 KG
c) below 55 KG
d) below 61 KG
e) below 68 KG
f) above 68 KG
2. Team Kumite
3. Individual Kata
4. Team Kata.
Pakistan Karate Federation General Secretary Andleeb Sandhu has stated that all the affiliated units are advised to prepare their teams.
The affiliated Units of Pakistan Karate Federation will also be featuring in these championships which include: Pakistan WAPDA, Army, Railways, Police, Islamabad, Balochistan, Punjab Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh. Players from their respective teams will be seen competing with all their skills so as to earn top honors in the championships.
