World No.68 Asim Khan, Nasir Iqbal to lock horns in BISL 4 Southern Punjab International Squash Tournament 2021 final
Top seed Asim Khan looked completely at ease in the semifinal as he downed unseeded Syed Ali Mujtaba Shah Bokhari to secure a place in the final of BISL 4 Southern Punjab International Squash Tournament 2021.
For the first time in 2021, the Challenger Tour moves to Asian shores this week, with the BISL 4 Southern Punjab International Squash Tournament 2021 taking place at the DHA Arena in Multan.
The runner-up of Balochistaan International squash tournament 2020, Asim Khan, who at World No.68, is the only man in the tournament currently inside the top 100 in the World Rankings. Top seed Asim Khan looked completely at ease in the semifinal against unseeded Syed Ali Mujtaba Shah Bokhari, taking the ball in well on the cold court to close out 11-3, 11-7, 11-9.
Asim is now pitted against Nasir Iqbal, who in 2020 won 8 consecutive PSA title and is in a race to recapture his place at the top of the ranking. The men’s final is scheduled to be held on 15th February at 7:00 PM.
The top seed Madina Zafar, who is currently at her highest ever World Ranking which is World No.93, is all set to meet sixth seed Zaynab Khan in the women’s final which will be played today (15th Feb) at 6:30 PM.
