Thailand shuts out India to meet Pakistan in Gladiators WESPA Youth Cup 2021 final
Pakistan stormed into the final of the Gladiators WESPA Youth Cup 2021 with a hard fought win over Sri Lanka.
The stage set for the final of Gladiators WESPA Youth Cup 2021 between Thailand and Pakistan, where the Green team stormed into the final of the Gladiators WESPA Youth Cup 2021 with a hard fought win over Sri Lanka.
The youngest and the most inexperienced player in the team Ali Salman was in great form throughout the championship as he proved to be a hero notching up some crucial wins against top opponents. Ali won 5 of his six games in the semifinal and was the top performed from either side.
Sri Lanka fought very hard and four of the six rounds ended with a 3-3 scoreline but when it mattered the experience and class of the Paskistani players showed through Young Monis Khan was also in superb form and curbed his natural instinct to play a very calculating game.
Monis has also won 5 games and played a crucial role in Pakistan's win. 13th WESPA Youth Cup winner, Imaad Ali and Usman Shaukat won 4 games each.
Earlier, Thailand crushed India by a 27-9 margin to book a place in the final. Napat Vajaranurathorn was in tremendous form winning all six of his games
The final between Pakistan and Thailand will be played on Sunday. On current form Thailand appears to have an edge as they had convincing wins in the quarter and semifinals.
Pakistan on the other hand is very confident of a good show to take the title of the world champion yet again.
