Sindh’s Haiqa Hassan bags Gold in 27th National Junior Table Tennis Championship 2020
Sindh’s rising table tennis star, Haiqa Hassan, has added another gold medal and trophy of 27th National Junior Table Tennis Championship 2020 at Peshawar Sports Complex.
The 27th edition of National Junior Table Tennis Championship 2020 wrapped up successfully, organized by Pakistan Table Tennis Federation at Peshawar Sports Complex.
Total nine teams participated in the contest belonging to different regions and organizations including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, WAPDA and Army.
Sindh’s rising table tennis star, Haiqa Hassan, has added another gold medal and trophy to her achievements for the Table Tennis Champions. 13-year-old Haiqa Hassan represented Sindh in the 27th National Junior Table Tennis Championship and won the medal for the under-15 girls’ singles category and under-14 trophies.
Sindh took gold medals in the girls Under-15, -16, and -18 team events. In Under-15 singles event, Haiqa routed Hoor Fawad to win the trophy. Sindh dominated the girls events capturing four gold, three silver and two bronze.
Haiqa trains with Hasanabad Table Tennis Club, under the umbrella of Karachi Table Tennis Association, and is mentored by her father, Hassan Adil. Haiqa’s younger sister, Eman, also happens to be a regular table tennis player with similar aspirations to her sister.
