Emerging Noor Zaman, Hamza Khan notches up National Junior Squash C’ship 2020 title
Promising Noor Zaman and Mohammad Hamza Khan emerged U-19 and U-17 champions, respectively, while talented Mohammad Zaman, Anas Ali arose U-13 and U-15 Squash Champions respectively, and Zaynab Khan crowned the title of U-19 Girls.
National Junior Squash Championship 2020 concluded successfully at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad.
Promising Noor Zaman and Mohammad Hamza Khan emerged U-19 and U-17 champions, respectively, while talented Mohammad Zaman, Anas Ali arose U-13 and U-15 Squash Champions respectively, and Zaynab Khan crowned the title of U-19 Girls.
Noor of PAF defeated Punjab’s Ashab Irfan 3-2 in a well-contested five-game match while PAF’s Hamza outplayed Huzaifa Zahid of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in their decider.
Noor Zaman of PAF, who rose to 217 from 285 in international ranking, was 0-2 down as Ashab grabbed the first two games 11-4, 11-7 but the grandson of Former World Squash Champion Qamar Zaman, Noor bounced back to win the next three games 11-6, 11-7, 11-7 in the 35-minute contest.
Looking in extremely good form, the 2020 British Open Champion Hamza tamed Huzaifa in just 13 minutes, registering a 11-3,11-3, 11-6 victory in the U-17 final.
