Aqeel Khan and Sarah Mehboob wins 6th Benazir Bhutto Shaheed National Tennis C’ships 2020
Tennis Champions Aqeel Khan and Sarah Mehboob claimed the titles of sixth Benazir Bhutto Shaheed National Tennis Championships 2020 at the Islamabad Tennis Courts, Islamabad.
Pakistan’s most successful player of all the time, Aqeel Khan continued his title-winning feats when he easily trounced Muzammil Murtaza in the men’s singles final of the sixth Benazir Bhutto Shaheed National Tennis Championships 2020 at the Islamabad Tennis Courts, Islamabad.
Aqeel was home with 7-6-(7-4), 4-6, 6-1.
Daughter of renowned tennis coach Mehboob Khan, Sarah Mehboob defeated national ladies champion Ushna Suhail with the final score line of 6-4, 6-3 in the women’s singles final.
Mohammad Shoaib was declared winner of the boys 18 and under final against Ahmed Kamil 6-1, 2-0 as the latter retired while the second set was in progress.
Amna Ali Qayum defeated Sheeza Sajid 3-5, 4-2, 4-1 in the girls 14 and under decider.
In the boys and girls U-12 final, Hamza Roman overcame Haniya Minhas 2-4, 4-1, 4-2 while Mohammad Hassan Usmani downed Ismail Aftab 2-4, 5-3, 5-3 in the Boys/Girls U-10 final.
