Tayyab Aslam and Madina Zafar reigned victories in the $12,000 Pakistan International Squash Tournament 2020 organized by Pakistan Squash Federation, which wrapped up successfully at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad.
The $12,000 Pakistan International Squash Tournament 2020 organized by Pakistan Squash Federation, came to a blooming end with Tayyab Aslam and Madina Zafar reigning victorious at the Mushaf Squash Complex.
After 68 minutes long nail-biting contest, top seed Tayyab Aslam edged out unseeded Nasir Iqbal in an epic 11-7, 6-11, 3-11, 12-10, 13-11 victory to validate his status as Pakistan No 1 player.
With this win World no. 43 Tayyab claimed the 10 PSA title of his professional career.
The women’s final was a clash between two sisters, where elder sister Madina Zafar, who is third seed, stunned her younger sister second seed Faiza Zafar 3-2 after a hard-fought battle of 31 minutes.
The 22-year-old, who currently sits at World No.106, Madina was home with 11-8, 11-1, 2-11, 7-11, 11-9.
Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) Vice President and Squash Legend Qamar Zaman graced the closing ceremony as chief guest and gave away trophies and prizes to the winners of men and women events.
