The Pakistan Super League VI players draft will be held in the first week of January with the action starting around February 20.

The Pakistan Super League VI players draft will be held in the first week of January with the action starting around February 20.

This was revealed by Pakistan Cricket Board’s Chief Executive Officer Wasim Khan to a group of journalists.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is looking to host the draft in an outdoor event at the National Stadium, Karachi due to the sudden rise in the COVID-19 cases in the country. Alternatively, the draft may be conducted online.

“All dues till 2020 have been cleared while matters regarding the annual fee will be settled soon,” he said.

Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that this year all six franchises will downsize to 18 players a team instead of 21 which will result in the cutting of salaries and will help franchisees to earn profit and do breakeven of their investment.

The PSL management has decided to cut down salary caps for teams to $1.1 Million Dollars. Since the PSL is going to be held in Pakistan so there was no need to carry extra players with the franchise as it was the case when league used to be held in UAE and we believe it’s a good decision by the PSL management.
