Pakistan's only hope Muhmmad Shoaib in General Tyre ITF J5 Junior (II) semis
Top seed Muhmmad Shoaib overpowered seventh seeded Ruslan Serazhetdinv of Russia in straight sets to reach into the semifinal of the General Tyre ITF J5 Junior.
On the third day of General Tyre ITF J5 Junior Championship (II), quarterfinal matches were played at the PTF Complex, Islamabad.
The winner of the recently concluded first leg of the ITF J5 Junior Tennis Championships, Muhmmad Shoaib was in excellent form, as he won the first set 6-1 against seventh seeded Ruslan Serazhetdinv of Russia and kept the pressure in the second set as the top seed comfortably won the set by 6-4.
Zalan Khan lost to Siddhartha Lama of USA by 6-0, 6-4 in the second quarterfinal. Sixth seed Rohan Belday thrashed Aki Zuben Rawat of Nepal by 6-2, 6-2 to secure berth in semifinals.
In the last quarterfinal of the day, fifth seed Roy Keegan ousted unseeded Alexander Karman, who earlier trounced second seed Ahmed Kamil of Pakistan. Roy won the encounter with the final score line of 6-3, 6-3.
