National Senior Hockey Championship 2020 Day-1: Navy, Army, WAPDA, NBP, MPCL register victories
Navy, Army, WAPDA, NBP and MPCL outplayed their respective opponents in the opening day encounters at National Senior Hockey Championship 2020.

On the opening day of National Senior Hockey Championship 2020, a total of five matches were played at the Mari Petroleum Hockey Stadium, Ayub Park, Rawalpindi.
Pakistan Navy pulverized over Port Qasim Authority (PQA) by 6-2 in the first match. Ali Sher and Noman Janjua scored two goals each for Navy.
In the second encounter of the day, Mohammad Safir scored twice as Pakistan Army outclassed Police 9-1.
Samiullah’s brace saw the toughest team in the championship, WAPDA outplayed the winners of recently concluded 5th Tray Championship, Punjab by 8-2.
Defending champions NBP brushed aside PAF 4-2 with Junaid Manzoor striking two goals for the winning side in the day’s fourth match.
In the last & the thrilling encounter of the day, Mari Petroleum edged out the last year runners-up SSGC 4-3.
