5th National tray hockey championship 2020: HEC, Punjab, MPCL, PAF register victories on Day-1
On the first day of the 5th National Tray Hockey Championships, 4 one- sided matches were played at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore.
On the first day of the 5th National Tray Hockey Championships, 4 one sided matches were played at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore.
The opening match of the championship was played between Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Gilgit-Baltistan where HEC chalked-up a facile 11-0 victory against Gilgit-Baltistan. For the winners Sufyan banged home three goals while Umer Farooq, Zeeshan Ashraf, Captain Ashar Tariq and Amir Farooq struck two goals each.
In second match of the day, Punjab crushed Azad Jammur Kashmir 12-0 with Abdul Manan (3) and Hanain Shahid, Arsalan, Mohsin Hasan struck two goals each.
Noman Ali’s hat-trick saw Pakistan Air Force routed Sindh 7-1 in the third match played at the main ground of the stadium. Rizwan Ali and Abdul Rehan slammed in two goals each. For losing side their captain Arslan Haider reduced the margin of defeat.
In the last match, MPCL thrashed Islamabad by a huge margin at 10-0.
