Korangi Sports Festival from 17th October
Sports events in twenty disciplines will be contested in the Korangi Sports Festival, which will be played from Oct 17-23 at the Rashid Latif Academy No.5 ground, Karachi.
Shehryar Gul, Administrator and Deputy Commissioner Korangi has announced that twenty Sports will be contested in the Korangi Sports Festival which will be played from Oct 17-23 at the Rashid Latif Academy No.5 ground in Karachi at 3:00pm.
The festival will kick-off with an exhibition cricket match at the Rashid Latif Academy between Commissioner Karachi XI and Chief Secretary XI.
A football tournament will be staged at the Colony Sports Stadium, Malir while a shootingball tournament will be organised at Ghazi courts in Shah Faisal Colony.
Cricket and hockey greats including Shoaib Mohammad, Iqbal Qasim, Wasim Bari, Sadiq Mohammad, Saeed Anwar, Fawad Alam, hockey Olympian Islahuddin, former cghiefselector Salahuddin Sallu, Tauseef Ahmed, Saleem Jaffer, Wasim Feroze will also grace the occasion to witness the opening match of the sports festival.
