Former Sindh champion Agha Bilawal brushed aside national U-21 champion Ali Haider 4-1 in the 12th National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Ranking Snooker Championship at the bank’s sports complex, Lahore.

8th seeded Ali Haider of Punjab won the opening frame but unseeded Agha, who lost to former NBP champion Mohammad Ijaz earlier, came back strongly and put up a fine show as he was home 4-1 (53-62, 99-13(63), 78-30(63), 106-0(106), 68-0) in group H match. He also stole limelight with a century break of 106 in the fourth frame.
Former Pakistan No. 1 Babar Masih did not face any difficulties in securing his first win in the group stage match as he was up against Muhammad Majid Ali of NBP and registered 4-2 win with highest break of the day, 128 in the fifth frame.
Reigning national U-16 and U-18 champion & sixth seed Ahsan Ramzan has snitched into the last-16 from group F winning two matches apiece.
2017 IBSF U18 World Champion Naseem Akhtar, carved out an emphatic 4-2 (60-46, 34-67(51), 124-0(95), 70-54, 23-73, 116-32(115)) victory over his opponent Sharjeel Mehmood. NBP’s Naseem played one of the best games with a trouncing century break of 115 in the last frame.
