Pakistan’s professional boxer and former World No1 Mohammad Waseem will resume his training in Glasgow to prepare for the title bout in the IBF flyweight division.
“I’ve obtained a five-year UK visa and will be leaving for Glasgow on Friday to train there,” the Quetta-born Waseem Known as “Falcon”, the erstwhile Asian Games bronze medalist, told APP.
Premier professional boxer, Waseem is being looked after by MTK Global, a major boxer management company, based in England.
“I hope the name of my opponent for the title bout will be announced next week. I’m ready to take on any pugilist anywhere, but performing in my own country is my dream.”
The former two-time WBC flyweight world silver champion, Waseem has played ten fights so far, winning nine of them with seven knock-outs.
“I’ve been trying my best to maintain my fitness level during this period of nothingness,” the pugilist remarked.
33-year-old gladiator, Waseem currently occupies number four spot in the IBF flyweight category.
