Lions team grab title in Football For All - Football For Equality organized by Diya Women Football Club(DWFC)
The emerging girls of Lions team outscored Hunters team in the thrilling encounter by 2-3 at Football For All - Football For Equality organized by Diya Women Football Club(DWFC).
Diya Women Football Club(DWFC) organized the "Football For All - Football For Equality” tournament at Community Ground Behind South City Hospital Clifton.
DWFC have been focusing on social change through football with a specific focus on promoting participation of Girls in Football and to development of the game.
The emerging girls of the Lions team outscored Hunters team in the thrilling encounter by 2-3 and grabbed the first spot while Turtle Squad claimed the third position. The Sharks team received the fair-play award.
The project "Football For All - Football For Equality", is a project to empower youth of Pakistan through Football in collaboration with U.S Mission Pakistan, Women Win and Right To Play had helped to take the mission forward and find out the talent in urban areas of Karachi Former Korangi, Landhi, Sherpao, Lalabad, Metroville, Kemari, Lyari and Sadar.
In the closing ceremony the trophies were distributed to the Winners, Runner-up, 3rd Position and Fair Play. Individual Awards Golden Boot, Golden Glove, Best Player of the Tournament and Best Defender of the Tournament were given to these young generation to motivate them and to appreciate their efforts.
Medals and Certificates were also distributed by Honorable Chief Guest Ms. Zeba Bakhtiar who is a renowned name all over Pakistan and she has had the honor of serving Pakistan as one of the Country’s leading Entertainer, Actor, Director and Producer for the past 30 years.
