Former World No. 1 Jansher Khan to train young players
Former world champion Jansher Khan has decided to train youthful squash players associated with Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Remained unbeaten for 97 months, a player of millennium, Jansher Khan, is a former World No. 1 professional Pakistani squash player. During his vocation he won the World Open a record eight times, and the British Open six times. Jansher Khan is generally viewed as A most prominent squash player ever.
As per an announcement gave by Jansher Khan from Peshawar, he took the choice on request of Chief Minister KP Mahmood Khan.
“It has been decided that I'll take steps to revive squash and nurture squash talent in KP consistently. I'll play games with the children of the academy and will give them basic training.” Jansher said.
The government has fulfilled his desire to train the children of the province by providing a coaching opportunity, including that he would give a valiant effort to fill the hole made in the round of squash and will assist the nation with having another title holder.
Welcoming Jansher on the occasion, DG Sports KP Asfandyar Khan said the coaching of the former world champion involved honor for the players of the province.
He said that the provincial government was taking various steps for the promotion of squash, different projects were in progress looking for new talent, adding that eight new courts were in the last phases of completion under the Revival of Squash project.
