Lyari Boxing Club collects 3 gold medals to win SBA Defence Day Boxing Tournament 2020
Lyari Boxing Club clinched three gold medals to earn the top spot of SBA Defence Day Boxing Tournament, which concluded successfully at at Ustad Ali Muhammad Qambrani Boxing Stadium (MABC) in Lyari.
The SBA Defence Day Boxing Tournament was organized by Karachi South Boxing Association, where 36 boxers from eight Karachi South boxing clubs competed against each other in the 22 boxing matches to secure top position of the event.
The said championship was held at Ustad Ali Muhammad Qambrani Boxing Stadium (MABC) in Lyari where the fights were contested in boy’s weight classes: 34,36,38,40,42,44 kgs.
The Lyari Boxing Club clinched three gold medals to earn the top spot. They were followed by Sindh Muslim Boxing Club who managed to win with two gold medals while Young Tughlaq won the third position with a solitary gold.
Fighters who won gold medals comprising: Naseer Ali, Mazhar Qambrani, Taimur, Danish, Azan, Yaseen and Sanaullah.
President of Karachi Sports Foundation Syed Waseem Hashmi graced as a chief guest at the awards distribution ceremony.
