Nouman Khan and Harira Khan wins Defence Day KP Junior Squash C’ship
Peshawar-born Nouman Khan and Harira Khan have claimed the Defence Day Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junior Squash Championship Under-11 and U-13 tiles respectively at Qamar Zaman Squash Complex, Peshawar.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association has organized the 1st DG Sports KP Junior Squash Championship 2020 which wrapped up successfully at Qayyum Stadium Qamar Zaman Squash Complex, Peshawar.
Nouman Khan and Harira Khan have claimed the Defence Day Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junior Squash Championship Under-11 and U-13 tiles respectively.
The U-11 final observed an intense challenge between Nouman Khan of Peshawar and Haris Zahid where Noman Khan claimed the title after recording victories in the marathon five sets final, the score was 11-9, 11-7, 7-11, 11-8, 11-2.
In the U13 final Huraira Khan asserted the trophy in the wake of recording triumph against his strong rival Ibrahim Zeb by 3-2 in another hotly contestant encounter witnessed by capacity crowd present on this occasion.
The final score line was 11-5,11-7, 2-10,11-13, 11-9.
Former World Squash Champion KP Squash Association President Qamar Zaman graced the concluding ceremony as a chief guest while chief organizer Munawar Zaman Mohibullah Khan, Executive Members Sajjad Khalil,Wazir Khan Sher Bahadur, Coaches officials and other personalities were also present.
This was the first event of squash after five months of break due to the outbreak of Coronavirus and countless players and onlookers turned up and saw the exciting finals of the Under-11 and Under-13 Age Groups part of the Defence Day Championship.
