5-a-side hockey Tournament likely to be rescheduled

The schedule of the five-a-side tournament is likely to be changed because of the devastating monsoon rains.

Secretary PHF Asif Bajwa has expressed that the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has decided to resume its activities with a five-a-side league hockey in the month of September.

However, the schedule of the five-a-side tournament is probably going to be changed due to the overwhelming storm rains that has seriously influenced the day by day life of the Karachiites.

On account of expectation of more rains in the initial fourteen days of September, PHF is probably going to reschedule the occasion.

The PHF will perceive the weather condition before determining the final dates as PHF has refused to rule out the possibility of shifting the event from Karachi.

Meanwhile, the heavy rains gravely exaggerated Abdul Sattar Hockey Stadium. There was knee-high rainwater in the ground. The rooms on the ground floor and the entire field presented the look of a swimming pool. The water has been depleted out of the ground, yet the environmental factors of the arena are still plunged.
