PTBF President Ijaz-ur-Rehman demand to re-open Tenpin bowling Clubs
President Pakistan Ten Pin Bowling Federation, Ijaz-ur-Rehman has demanded to re-open tenpin bowling club in Pakistan.
Ijaz-ur-Rehman, president of the Pakistan Ten Pin Bowling Federation, said that the government should allow the opening of the Ten Pin Bowling Club in accordance with the government SOPs.
"Tenpin bowling clubs have re-opened in abroad and the players are training themselves by taking precautionary measures," he said.
He further added that players and owners in Pakistan have already suffered a lot and hopefully. In response to a question, Ijaz-ur-Rehman said that ten-pin bowling is the first sport.
“ It is an individual sport and the social distance between the players is about five to six feet and they throw the ball from there, he said, adding that the government should consider the game and allow ten-pin bowling clubs to open. Owners Club will ensure government-issued SOPs.”
Ijaz-ur-Rehman has appealed to the government and the Pakistan Olympic Association to include the sport of tenpin bowling in the 2021 South Asian Games to be held in Pakistan next year. There is no shortage of tenpin bowling talent but this game is also being played in South Asian regions and Pakistan can win medals in this game too. It should be noted that South Asian Games will be held in Pakistan next year in which Pakistan, India Athletes from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Afghanistan will compete in various sports.
