Rashid Malik announced to resume sports activities with Rafum JTI program

Former Pakistan Davis Cupper & prestigious mentor Rashid Malik has praised the government for declaring the resumption of sports activities after Eid-ul-Azha.

The General Secretary of Punjab Lawn Tennis Association has declared that the PLTA meeting was held under the seat of its director Iftikhar Ahmad Rao and the committee has decided to reopen the academy after Eid occasions, not long after the declaration of the national government for the resumption of sports exercises.

He said that every single player and coordinator ought to carefully follow the SOPs to be given by the legislature after Eid when the games exercises will be continued. "The more we follow the SOPs while playing and sorting out the games, the better it will be for each and every player and coordinator and thusly, the games exercises will slowly be standardized and it will place another rent of life in Pakistan sports."

Conversing with The Nation, Malik (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) stated:

"Despite the fact that IPC Minister Dr Fahmida Mirza has reported that the date of continuing the sports activities will be declared after Eid occasions, yet it is a promising sign for the sportspersons and sports coordinators, who are anxiously hanging tight for the restart of sports, as of now they have endured a great deal due to COVID-19 pandemic."  

"A year ago, the PLTA, under the dynamic initiative of chairman Iftikhar Ahmad Rao, had earned the respect of directing a record number of tennis occasions at junior and senior levels and this year as well, we had wanted to break the earlier year's record, yet due to Coronavirus pandemic, our arrangements severely endured. "Presently, we need to reschedule the occasions, when the games exercises are continued after Eid.  

Malik said we will begin our activities with Rafum Junior Tennis Initiative (JTI) program, where top 10 youngsters of Punjab are without taking instructing and preparing for the most recent few years. Ideally this year as well, we will be the main unit of Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), which will lead a record number of tennis occasions for the second back to back year.
