300 karatekas participating in COVID-19 Inter-Provincial Karate
Male and female Karatekas of 16 years and above are entitled to participate in 4 rounds of Inter-Provincial Karate "E" Kata Tournament 2020.
In view of prevailing condition pandemic of COVID-19 and restriction of all sports activities, Pakistan Karate Federation has started an online Karate event with title Inter-Provincial Karate "E" Kata Tournament 2020 right from clubs basis throughout Pakistan.
Male and female Karatekas of 16 years and above are entitled to participate in 4 rounds. In the first and preliminary round, 2 boys and 2 girls are selected on a club basis. In the second round, the selected 4 Karate athletes of clubs are participating in Inter Clubs Tournament and 4 qualified Kata athletes are entitled to participate in Inter Districts E Kata Tournament. In the third round, 4 karate kata fighters participate in Provincial Inter Districts tournament and finally in 4th round 4 kata athletes from all Provinces and Federal Capital will participate in Inter-Provincial Karate "E" kata Tournament 2020
Around 300 karate athletes of 40 clubs existed in 18 Districts in the jurisdiction of 6 Divisions of Sindh are also participating in the tournament with immense spirit and enthusiasm. In first-round of Sindh Inter Districts Karate E Kata Tournament 8 girls and 8 boys qualified for 2nd round namely: Iqra Anwar, Nuzrah Jamal, Ayesha Furqan, Fatima Furqan, Syeda Aqsa Jabeen, Ayesha Siddiqa, Umna Mirza, Farah, Syed Shahnoor Hussain, Syed kabeer Ali, shahbaz Khan, Nadir Ahmed, Hamza Abdullah, Muhammad Zubair Khilji, Farooq Ahmed Bangulzai and Junaid Ahmed.
Sensie Nasim Ahmed Qureshi Vice President Sindh Olympic Association and President Sindh Karate Association highly appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Karate Federation for a revival of Karate activities at grass route level throughout Pakistan and definitely we will get talented Karate athletes who will excel our flag in the world.
