Shahid Afridi give suggestion to end Match-Fixing from Pakistan Cricket
The star all-rounder, Afridi has said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should have set examples for the cricketers by punishing those involved in match-fixing.
Former Pakistan captain, Shahid Afridi has also weighed in with his opinion on match-fixers, saying he completely agrees with his fellow all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez.
Talking about the corrupt practice, the star all-rounder has said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should have set examples for the cricketers by punishing those involved in match-fixing. However, he believes that it’s still not too late to table a strict policy for dealing with such corrupt cricketers.
Afridi was of the view that if the PCB had set strong examples for the cricketers, we wouldn’t have to experience such cases time and again. He further said that if the board wants to put an end to this menace in Pakistan cricket, they will have to step up and make strict policy decisions.
Earlier, Mohammad Hafeez had said that dignity should also be a criterion for the national selection. He was talking following the debate regarding Sharjeel Khan’s inclusion in the team.
The cricket lovers have a divided opinion on the matter with some suggesting that such cricketers should be given a second chance after serving their punishments, whereas others believe that they should never be allowed to represent their country.
