As expected, the top two seeds stormed into the final of the sixth Parco Roshan Khan Open Squash Championship winning their respective semi-finals on Wednesday night.
Second seed Tayyab Aslam carved out a fine 11-6, 11-4, 11-1 victory over Shahjehan Khan in 30 minutes while top seeded Farhan Zaman was home 11-7, 11-8, 11-6 over Khawaja Adil Maqbool in 23 minutes. The final between Tayyab and Farhan will be played on Thursday.
Earlier, the organisers shifted the venue of the semi-finals and final from PAF Museum to the PN Roshan-Jahangir Squash Complex following complaint by players that they were unable to play due to slippery court.
The first semi-final started at a fast pace between second seed Tayyab Aslam and third seed Shahjehan Khan at the wall court of PAF Museum and when both were tied two-all in the first game, they went out complaining the ‘slippery court conditions’, an official Tahir Khanzada told Dawn.
He, however, made it clear that the court become slippery due to the dew. He added that the organisers examined the court and decided to shift the venue immediately from the PAF Museum to PN Roshan Jahangir Complex keeping in view the players safety.

Semi-finals: Tayyab Aslam bt Shahjehan Khan 11-6, 11-4, 11-1; Farhan Zaman bt Khawaja Adil Maqbool 11-7, 11-8, 11-6.
Thursday’s fixtures:
Final: Tayyab Aslam v Farhan Zaman at 7pm at PN Roshan Jahangir Squash Complex.
